My Story

​I found my love for ceramic through my love for food. 

As a chef I was always amazed by the impact that ceramics could add to the food that was in it. 
The importance to be subtle and complimentary to its contents, whilst holding an elegant yet bold frame. 

Which is why the focus of my design is in the Form, its shape, weight, and texture.
The earthy tones of the clay its self holding a Neutral backdrop for whatever it holds. 

All my work is thrown on the wheel. I use a range of different clays but I keep the glaze transparent to showcase the clay’s natural beauty.  I make my own glaze and use oxides to add drama where I feel it would benefit. 

I’m based in mid Devon, I am a self taught potter with a massive thank you to the community centre that gave me the space and time to follow my passion, and enabled me to finally open my own studio.
